Position – Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Location – Whitehall, WI
Starting Date – August 25th, 2025 or later
Employment Term – Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday) **Plant is in operation 24/7 so flexibility to be available is desired
Starting Pay – $25 to $35 per hour or more, based on experience

Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience – Two to five years of industrial or food manufacturing maintenance experience highly desired
This position plays a critical role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background, thrive in a team setting, and be comfortable working in a facility with varying temperatures, odors, and physical demands.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, pneumatic lines, and drying room equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and minor PLC or automation issues
- Maintain the integrity of vacuum transfer systems used in cheese handling
- Inspect and maintain tools, safety equipment, and PPE storage areas
- Assist with sanitation and facility shutdown/startup support as needed
- Maintain logs and records of performed maintenance using internal systems
- Support facility improvement projects and collaborate with production team
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Comply with GMPs, OSHA safety standards, and company food safety protocols
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of industrial or food manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions
- Comfortable working in hot or humid environments and around strong odors
- Basic electrical knowledge required; welding or fabrication experience a plus
- Self-starter who is punctual, organized, and responsive
- Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Familiarity with lock out tag out procedures and food manufacturing safety standards preferred
