**Service Plumber - Spring Valley, CA - 1st Shift - $30/hr-$41/hr** **Job Description:** + We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Service Plumber to join our team specializing in service and repair plumbing. This role primarily involves commercial and industrial plumbing, with some residential projects. The position offers on-call rotations and ample opportunities for overtime pay. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of plumbing systems and the ability to perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks with precision and efficiency. **Responsibilities** + Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in both residential and commercial buildings. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. + Perform pipe threading and welding tasks as required for various projects. + Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete plumbing tasks. + Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or areas needing maintenance. + Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals during remodeling projects. + Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations throughout all work performed. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience in construction plumbing or a related field. + Ability to perform heavy lifting as required. + Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. + Soldering and brazing skills. + Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and welding processes. + Strong basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. + Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. + Valid plumbing license or certification based on local regulations. + On-call rotations required. + Journeyman license is preferred. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with backflow prevention, leak detection, and plumbing systems. + High-rise experience is advantageous. **Work Environment** + The work environment involves commercial and residential projects, requiring physical stamina and adaptability. A company van is provided for travel convenience. **Job Type & Location** + This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
