Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Machinist Team Lead to support and guide our machining department. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Machining Supervisor to ensure production goals are met by leading a team, producing high-quality parts, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Set up and operate various machine tools to produce precision components from blueprints and work plans.
• Train and mentor Machinists I & II, supporting skill development and performance growth.
• Partner with the Machining Supervisor to align with company production and quality goals.
• Check and verify work quality, ensuring parts meet required standards.
• Encourage and implement continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and cost savings.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and promote adherence to safety policies.
• Communicate effectively across departments to meet customer requirements.
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Technical Degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of machining experience, with strong turning and milling skills.
• Prior leadership or demonstrated progression of responsibilities highly preferred.
• Proficient in precision measurement tools and blueprint interpretation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with basic computer systems for email, data entry, and work orders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended shifts.
