PURPOSE The Fleet Manager plays a critical role in leading a team of professional drivers to ensure operational excellence across safety, service, and performance. This position is responsible for maximizing revenue, minimizing costs, and delivering an outstanding customer experience through effective leadership and strategic driver management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate daily with dispatchers and operational teams to ensure efficiency across the fleet
- Champion a culture of safety by promoting best practices and compliance
- Provide consistent, actionable feedback to drivers—both corrective and positive
- Monitor driver performance, address productivity issues, and conduct disciplinary actions when necessary
- Track and manage out-of-route mileage and hours to optimize operational costs
- Accurately enter and review driver hours to ensure timely and correct payroll processing
- Serve as the central point of contact between drivers and internal departments
- Resolve delivery and load-related issues quickly to uphold customer satisfaction
- Partner with planners to help drivers achieve weekly mileage targets of at least 2,350 miles
- Communicate professionally and clearly with drivers, internal teams, and leadership

- High school diploma or GED required
