Overview

Shift Leaders (SLs) are the primary operational support for the key holder (TL/AD/Dir running the shift, managing labor and breaks, and offering suggestions and ideas (but always being respectful of the Senior Leadership’s final decision.) The Shift Leader is a leader that exemplifies CFA Standards and Vision & Values through teaching and providing accountability to our team on those behaviors.

● Assist our CTs and other leaders with the training of Team Members in all areas.

● Provide ongoing feedback to higher leaders regarding our Team Members.

Safety, Quality & Customer Experience

● Execute & lead LEAN systems within Heart of House

● Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food and quality meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A standards

● Work with Sr Leadership to implement ideas for improvement

● Ensure eRQA, SAFE Daily Critical, Jolt and other checklists, etc are being completed daily

● Maintain a clean and organized environment

● Ensure Inventory is organized and rotated properly

● Work with Coordinators & Team to maintain up-to-date and LEAN-minded Travel Path

Sales & Brand Growth

● Provide operational support for all SBG initiatives (i.e. giveaways, sampling, promotions, etc) to

ensure success

Financial Return

● Optimize Profitability by Monitoring Costs (i.e. Food, Labor)

● Execute LEAN in all areas – Chicken, Inventory, Oil Rotation, Prep

Job Responsibilities

● Certified in ALL HOH areas

● Hours are capped at 40/week and will typically be less

● Attend ALL Leadership/team Meetings (including monthly/quarterly that can include some

Sundays)

● Attend all team activities to build and promote community

● Complete all areas associated with HosPro plan for HOH Shift Leaders

● Understand all competencies associated with HOH Shift Leaders and be able to perform them

Success Metrics

Chick-fil-A Food Safety Index Score = 3 (Good) or less, with a goal of 1 (Elite)

ROE Scores (to be measured Quarterly & on 12 month rolling basis)

● AHA > 95%

● SAFE Daily Critical, eRQA, & Checklists - 100% completion rate

● Perfect Health Department Scores

● CEM Scores (to be measured in 30-day and 90-day increments):

● Order Accuracy > top 20% in chain

● Speed of Service > top 20% in chain

● Taste of Food > top 20% in chain

● Positive Food Cost Gap > top 20% in chain
